Martin Ström is an author, licensed psychologist, Buddhist teacher, public speaker, and educator with a background in both psychology and technology. Holding an M.Sc. in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Psychology, he bridges the fields of contemplative practice, psychology and digital innovation. As the CEO of Interconnected Pty Ltd, Martin develops meditation and mindfulness apps that bring evidence-based mind training to a global audience. Martin also co-hosts the podcast Mindful AI.
A registered FPMT Buddhist teacher, Martin has taught and led retreats at FPMT centers around the world, sharing Buddhist philosophy and meditation practices in a modern, accessible way. He has also taught mindfulness and mind training to leaders at companies such as McKinsey, IKEA, and Microsoft.
In his clinical work, Martin sees individual patients, focusing on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help them navigate psychological challenges with evidence-based techniques.
Martin is the co-author of several books on mind training, including I’m Sorry You Were Saying (Fokus på Jobbet in Swedish), One Second Ahead, and Mind of the Leader.
He is also the founder and sits on the board of the Buddhist Center Yeshin Norbu in Stockholm and serves on the board of The Foundation for Developing Wisdom and Compassion (FDCW) and the Center for Contemplative Research Aotearoa (CCRA), contributing to research and education in contemplative science and wisdom traditions.
