Aaron Taylor began his journey in the Buddhist Dharma in 2014 when he met one of his heart teachers, John Bruna, through the Mindful Life Program. Aaron participated in the Mindful Life Program for a number of years, through which he learned how to live a meaningful life based in four key areas: Attention, Values, Wisdom, and an Open Heart. Over the last decade, Aaron has followed the guidance to find happiness through understanding and cultivating the mind by engaging in healthy actions based in reality, which eventually led him to the teachings of his root teacher, Lama Alan Wallace. Since 2017, Aaron has followed his aspirations of serving the Dharma and his teachers and spending time in meditation retreat. Aaron has served at the Way of Compassion Dharma Center, the Carbondale Bicycle Project (where Aaron founded and operated this community bicycle program), and currently with his wife, Virginia Craft, as a caretaker and property manager at the Center For Contemplative Research in Crestone, Colorado. Aaron feels quite fortunate to have found his root teachers and the Dharma that touches his heart. He is joyful to be supporting the vision of the Centers for Contemplative Research and one day hopes to spend significant time in meditation retreat putting into practice the sublime teachings of the Buddha.
